Q: How did you break into your industry or get started?

A: After being in the fashion jewelry business for several years, I had begun to feel an urge to change directions. I have enjoyed encouraging and uplifting others. I knew blogging, but I never thought about having my own. However, once I made the decision to change directions on my entrepreneurial journey, creating a blog seemed to be a natural progression. Writing about something that I enjoyed seemed like a perfect fit.

Q: What is your inspiration?

A: My inspiration comes from the understanding of how important it is to motivate, encourage and uplift others. I had a rough start in life. I had my son at the age of 15. The crack cocaine epidemic tore apart my family. I was living at one point from pillow to post, with my son. Catching 8 city buses daily to get my son to daycare and myself to school. Battling the feelings of rejection and anger, while trying to adjust to the absence of my mother and father. Despite all of those obstacles, I managed to graduate from high school. I returned back to school in my mid-twenties. I graduated with my Bachelors and Masters Degree. By this point I was the mother of three children. Those achievements were made when everything in society suggested that I would fail. However, as great as those accomplishments were, I remained a broken woman. A woman in desperate need of building up. A woman who needed to be reminded of who she was and the power that she possessed. I'm still in a work in progress, as we all are. However I am not who I used to be. So, because of my experiences, I am super dedicated to cheering on others and encouraging and uplifting many.

Q: What has been the hardest part of what it is you do?

A: The hardest part at this point, is the learning curve. It's one thing to have a passion for writing, but it's another thing to produce it and package it for the masses. I thought, my accessory business was tough, but man was I was wrong.

Q: What has been your biggest achievement thus far?

A: My biggest achievement thus far, has been my participation as a guest speaker in the recent, I Am Royalty Teen Parent Summit. It was truly amazing. To be able to contribute to such an important topic for the community was big for me. I had the opportunity to meet so many other passionate people. Definitely a big moment in my life.

Q: What advice would you give to someone trying to get his or her foot in the

A: Learn all that you can. Take advantage of the information that's out there via youtube, periscope, etc. Do your research. Be sure you are purpose and passion led.

Q: What projects are you working on (that you can share)?

A: Right now, I'm working on my book. "Finding My Happy" It's about chucking the deuces to a toxic past. I was reflecting one night while lying in bed, and just became overjoyed. I was thinking about how had finally begun to not allow my toxic past to control my life. I'm still a work in progress, but I am truly in a much better place. My goal is to release it mid 2017. The timing wasn't right last year. However this year, I have a great feeling about.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A: I see myself being an excellent Content Creator, Influential Blogger and sought after Motivational Speaker.
